Community support has never been more critical during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As our Head Start program began the 20/21 year many of our families elected to participate in at home virtual learning. Thanks to a generous donation from the Dell Children’s Health Plan and the Literacy Club we were able to provide supplies for our enrolled families to create a home learning environment for their children.
Child Inc staff stuffed over 600 backpacks with dental kits, nutrition information and school supplies for all of our at home virtual learners. Each at Head Start child will receive a backpack filled with books, construction paper, glue scissors, crayons and pencils. In addition, to materials related to good nutrition and physical activities. Our goal is provide families with the supplies to fully engage their children in the virtual learning experience.
