On March 4–5, 2026, Child Inc will take part in Amplify Austin | I Live Here I Give Here. For us, this isn’t just a fundraising event. It’s a moment to come together for children who need strong, steady support during the years that matter most.
Every day, we work with children who are bright, curious, and eager to learn. Many are also carrying the weight of real challenges—financial stress at home, limited access to safe play spaces, or families stretched thin trying to make ends meet. For these children, early learning is about more than academics. It’s about feeling safe, supported, and confident enough to explore the world around them.
For more than 50 years, Child Inc has proudly served as the Head Start grantee for Travis County, a role we have held continuously since 1972. Every day, our classrooms, playgrounds, family advocates, and educators support children and families who are working hard to overcome barriers created by poverty. Our goal is simple but powerful: school readiness, family stability, and long-term success.
Why Early Learning Matters So Much
We see the impact of early learning every single day. Children who start strong are more likely to succeed in school, build healthy relationships, and develop the skills they’ll use for the rest of their lives. Research backs this up—early childhood education has one of the highest returns on investment, with every dollar invested creating long-term benefits for children and the broader community.
But beyond the data, the real return is personal. It’s a child who learns how to manage big emotions. A parent who feels supported instead of overwhelmed. A classroom that feels like a second home.
Why Community Support Is Essential
While Head Start is federally funded, those funds don’t cover everything. Nearly 20% of Child Inc’s budget must be raised through donations and other non-federal support. These dollars help us strengthen learning environments, support families beyond the basics, and respond when children need extra care or resources.
Community support gives us the flexibility to meet children where they are and provide what they truly need to thrive.
A Special Invitation to Our Corporate Partners
Corporate partners play a powerful role in supporting children and families. Matching gift programs and employee-led fundraising campaigns multiply the impact of individual donations and help us reach more children across Travis County.
By offering matching funds during Amplify Austin or hosting a workplace fundraising campaign, companies send a strong message: that investing in children is investing in the future workforce, stronger communities, and long-term stability. These partnerships allow employees to give back in a meaningful way while making their generosity go even further.
Giving Close to Home
Amplify Austin is about taking care of our neighbors and our community. When you give to Child Inc—whether as an individual donor or a corporate partner—you are supporting children right here in Travis County, children who will grow into the students, employees, and leaders of tomorrow.
On March 4–5, we invite you to stand with us. Together, we can make sure every child has the strong start they deserve.
