Salary Range: $23.52 to $25.20 (USD) Hourly Benefits Minimum Qualifications: Position Purpose The Early Head Start (EHS) Teacher has the primary responsibility to promote the social, emotional, intellectual, language and physical development of each child, ages infant-3 years, in a safe and supervised educational environment. The EHS Teacher must involve parents in every aspect of program, working with them to establish both long and short term goals that will assure the necessary readiness outcomes needed for school success. The EHS Teacher assures that the classroom curriculum adheres to research- based, sound child development and early childhood educational principles. (This is a 12-month position)
Contracting Opportunities
Child Inc operates one Administrative Campus and multiple child development centers all located within Travis County.
The Office of Head Start (OHS), a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Administration for Children and Families (ACF), provides grants to Child Inc. to provide Head Start and Early Head Start services within Travis County. Child Inc.’s procurement procedures are designed to be in full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including but not limited to 2 CFR § 200.318-326 and 7 CFR § 226.22. Child Inc conducts analyses to avoid the purchase of unnecessary or duplicative items and will consolidate or break out procurements to obtain a more economical purchase.
Upon signing of the contract, the successful vendor will be expected to sign a conflict-of-interest disclosure, payment policy, confidentiality notice, debarment or suspension status certification, and Child Inc’s waiver of liability.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP): Janitorial Services Contract
Child Inc., the Head Start Grantee for Travis County, is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to provide comprehensive janitorial services. These services shall include all required labor, supplies, materials, and equipment. Child Inc. operates an Administrative Campus consisting of five buildings, as well as thirteen child development centers located throughout the City of Austin.
Child Inc. intends to award one or more contracts with an anticipated term of twelve (12) months.
We recognize that the Request for Proposal package includes multiple forms and documentation requirements. Child Inc. staff are available to answer questions, provide clarification, and review any forms that may be unfamiliar. All complete submissions will be reviewed and given full consideration.
