Early Head Start
Early Head Start (EHS) programs serve infants and toddlers under the age of 3, providing intensive, comprehensive child development.
With smaller class sizes, our dedicated and highly trained staff nurture each child’s growth and development, fostering social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills that lay the foundation for school readiness and long-term success. EHS also provides a safe, healthy, and engaging learning environment where every child can explore, play, and thrive.
Head Start
Head Start programs provide safe, supportive environments where children ages 3–4 learn, play, and build the foundational skills needed for kindergarten and long-term academic success. Through structured classroom experiences and hands-on exploration, children strengthen early literacy, language, math, problem-solving, and social skills in developmentally appropriate ways.
Head Start promotes the whole child by supporting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Child Inc understands that children grow and learn within the context of their families, home languages, and everyday experiences, and we partner closely with parents to support each child’s progress.
Children enrolled in Head Start receive nutritious meals and comprehensive health screenings, helping ensure they are healthy and ready to learn. Families are connected to medical, dental, and mental health resources as needed, and receive individualized support in pursuing goals related to employment, stable housing, and continuing education.
Our centers provide consistent routines that include structured learning, physical activity, shared mealtimes, and meaningful social interaction—helping children transition to kindergarten with confidence and enthusiasm for learning.
Home Visitation/Home Based Head Start Services
Home-based services offer a home visitor once a week to collaborate with parents providing high-quality, developmentally appropriate early education. The home visitor and parent/guardian to ensure the child and family is healthy and ready to succeed in school and life. They utilize the home environment to strengthen parent-child interactions while establishing daily routines and to foster social-emotional skills. Parents build leadership skills and learn about community resources while their children interact with other children during monthly socializations.
Child Care Partnerships
Child Inc’s Child Care Partnerships expand access to high-quality early learning by collaborating with local schools and early education programs. Through these partnerships, we provide comprehensive early childhood education and support services that help children build the skills they need for school readiness and lifelong success.
Currently, we partner with AISD Overton Elementary School and Mainspring Schools, working together to create engaging, safe, and developmentally appropriate learning environments for young children while supporting families every step of the way.
